Since becoming a life coach in 2004, Georgie has helped a lot of people to make the most of their lives. Here are some examples:

Jeannette is young Chinese woman who was applying for a job with a major car-manufacturing company. She had been turned down for several jobs already and was beginning to think she would never be accepted. Georgie gave her concrete skills in the form of how to make a successful presentation. Through discussing and dispelling Jeannette's fears about the interview and assessment, Georgie also gave her coachee the confidence to be able to relax a bit on the day and thus do her best. Jeannette is now a valuable asset to the car company.

Alexander was struggling to pass an exam that he had failed five times. With Georgie's help, he realised that he actually didn't want to pass this exam at all and go on to take the course a good score would allow him to do. He was sabotaging himself in the exam, without having any idea he was doing so. Once this became clear, a huge weight lifted from Alexander's shoulders and he no longer considered himself a failure.

Lucie was worried her partner might begin to find her boring, since she rarely went out and had little of interest to share with him in the evenings, when he came home from work. Georgie encouraged Lucie to learn to drive. After some initial resistance, Lucie took some lessons and soon passed her test. Her partner was so impressed by this that he bought Lucie a car. Now, with a part-time job she enjoys, a photography course and a book group to keep her busy, Lucie often gets home later than her partner.

Dave had always wanted to work abroad but thought, at 34, that he had left it too late to "gallivant around the world". Georgie helped Dave to think it all through and he came to the conclusion that he would always regret it if he didn't, at some point, spend some time living abroad. His children were still at primary and pre-primary stage and his wife is a writer and works from home anyway. She was excited by the idea and Dave decided to seize the moment. Georgie helped him to plan it all carefully, to streamline the move as much as possible and to find himself a job in South Africa before he went. Both Dave and his wife think the complete change of life was the best thing that has ever happened to them (though of course it didn't "happen to them": they made it happen).
